
Early registration for the 2019-20 school year for all students (K-12) will take place June 3-7. This registration period is for students who are new to the Jefferson Parish Public School System. Students who are currently enrolled at a Jefferson Parish School do not need to complete early registration. Students can be registered during these dates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school they will attend.

The 2019-20 school year for students in grades 1-12 starts on August 8. Students in kindergarten and pre-k start on August 15 or 16 (this date varies by school). Click here to download the 2019-20 calendar.

If your assigned school has not changed with your new address, please contact your school to update your contact information.

Registration Information for Specialty Schools/Programs
Pre-Kindergarten registration is conducted in the spring and summer for those schools with open slots. For more information on the registration process, visit the pre-kindergarten page.
Advanced Study Academies (ASAs) are selective-admissions schools that operates under a separate applications process. For more information, please visit the ASA page.
JP Schools offers magnet programs at selected schools for which students must submit an application. The application cycle for magnet programs occurs in the spring. For more information on programs and schools, visit the magnet program page.
