The Jefferson Parish Public School System has announced dates for its 2019 Magnet and Academic Programs Showcase. The showcase gives parents the opportunity to learn more about the choices available in JP schools prior to the annual magnet program application period.
The meetings will take place Tuesday, January 29 at the JPPSS Administration Building (501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey) and Wednesday, January 30 at the Riverdale High gym (240 Riverdale Drive in Jefferson). The meetings for both locations will last from 6 to 7 p.m.
Programs to be highlighted include STEM, arts integration, International Baccalaureate, and language immersion, as well as gifted and talented, advanced placement, career programs, charter schools, and Child Search. Representatives from the district’s magnet and academic programs and the schools at which they are offered will be in attendance.
