Since it was founded in 1993, Jefferson Dollars for Scholars has awarded more than $20 million in scholarships to students in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. That number inched even higher as JDFS held its 2017 scholarship events.
The JDFS 23rd Annual College Scholarship Awards Ceremony took place May 4. The 2017 Enrichment Camp Scholarship Awards Ceremony was May 12. Each of these events was hosted at the New Orleans Marriott Metairie at Lakeway. The college scholarship ceremony honors high school seniors, while the enrichment camp ceremony honors students in lower grades.
