The Jefferson Parish Public School System Work Ready U Adult Education Program is offering free day and night classes. Registration takes place on August 22 and 23. Classes begin on August 29.
Classes are offered in a variety of skills, including English as a Second Language, adult basic education, English literacy, family literacy, high school equivalency, career pathway, transitional skills, life skills, skills assessment, digital literacy, financial literacy, and career awareness.
Registration for day and night classes can be done at the JPPSS Administration Building on 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey or at the Paul Emenes Building at 822 S. Clearview Parkway in Elmwood. Registration hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on August 22 and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 23
Registration for night classes only can be done at Cuillier Career Center on 1429 Ames Blvd. in Marrero and at Bonnabel Magnet Academy High School on 2801 Bruin Drive (Building 100, 2nd floor) in Kenner. Registration hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on August 22 and 23.
