PuentesLatiNOLA is holding a free summer event for students in grades 6-12 who are interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).
Experience LatiNOLA STEAM will take place Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Marriott at 3838 N. Causeway Blvd. in Metairie. The event features hands-on activities in the morning with STEM NOLA. There will be a Career Carousel in the afternoon with STEM professionals from the Latino community in the New Orleans area.
Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parent sessions will be provided. A free lunch will be provided. Parking is $5. The first 40 students to register get a free t-shirt. Registration will be capped at 75 students. Registration can be done on the PuentesLatiNOLA website or by calling 504-821-7228.
